King Edward is very much a floury variety - scoring 6 on the waxy / floury scale, which is one of the highest scores. This makes King Edward a great variety for smooth creamy mash and light fluffy roast potatoes and even chips. King Edward is a traditional maincrop variety and has a white skin with very distinctive pink colouration which makes it an easy potato to identify. It has a creamy coloured flesh and a good flavour and is widely available. This is a Main Crop variety.
