British new potatoes are only available May to August so make sure you get some while you can. A portion of new potatoes costs just 13p and its versatility means there's an endless choice of easy dishes for eating in. At only 26kcals per new potato they're filling without piling on the pounds.
New potatoes make the best potato salads but they can also be baked, crushed, sautéed or simply boiled for a few minutes and served with butter. Ask for British new potatoes at your local supermarket or greengrocer.
