At the age of 19 Sophie Michell was nominated ‘Young Chef of the Year’ by the prestigious Craft Guild of Chefs. She has cooked for some of Hollywood’s finest such as Claudia Schiffer and Leonardo DiCaprio and in 2013 she became the UK’s youngest ever female Executive Chef at Belgraves Hotel.
Sophie’s exquisite taste for using the best ingredients to create her menus is something that has allowed her to lead the way in the fine dining arena. Her recent collaboration with the Potatoes: More Than a Bit on the Side campaign is no exception. Sophie has created a series of delicious potato-based recipes as part of her partnership with the campaign; all of them healthy, nutritious, and easy to prepare.
On her involvement in the campaign, Sophie commented: “Throughout my career, I’ve always championed being creative even with the simplest of ingredients like potatoes. Not only are they delicious, but also super good for you, given that they are naturally fat-free, gluten-free and a source of fibre and potassium.
“I’m thrilled to partner with this campaign to showcase the versatility of potatoes, they can be quick and convenient for midweek meals but also showcased at dinner parties.”
